My STORY
RANCHER – WRITER – SPEAKER
Nathan Ingram was born and grew up in the mountains of Crossville, Tennessee, he is the youngest out of five, and during that time he also grew up in his faith at the Homesteads Church of Christ. When he enrolled at Harding University he met Lindy Lunceford, experiencing significant culture shock from Lindy’s Baton Rouge ideas about food and other things. The two married upon graduation from Harding in 1984, where Nathan had double majored in Bible and Psychology and Lindy had majored in Business Systems Analysis.
Nathan and Lindy moved back to Tennessee where he took a job with the State of Tennessee and worked as a Prison Counselor, a CPS caseworker, a Juvenile Probation Officer, and the Coordinator of the State’s “Just Say No” programs, meanwhile earning a master’s degree in educational psychology from Tennessee Tech.
The family moved to Houston in 1990, where they attended the Westbury Church of Christ, eventually becoming one of the eleven charter families of Woodland Oaks Church of Christ, where they have been ever since.

Mr. Ingram operates Lone Star as the President of the board of directors and is the owner of Tranquility Ranch and Tranquility Sand & Gravel. Nathan is a published author and his first book, Christ at The Coffee Shop, has had multiple reprints and distributions.
He was a featured speaker for Harding University during the dedication of their new business building. Nathan’s next book, How to Keep Fear from Scaring You to Death, is based on his experience while hunting lions in Africa. The philanthropist serves as an Elder at Woodland Oaks Church of Christ and was selected as the Outstanding Alumni for Harding in 2016 in Psychology.
Nathan considers himself an avid outdoorsman, family man, storyteller, and Christian. His greatest fulfillment is found in watching people come to delight in the grace of God, offered to us because of Jesus.
